Feed My Inbox is different because subscribers have the power. They decide when and how often they receive emails from you. They decide what format and time the email is sent. By letting subscribers control the frequency and means of communication, everyone wins.
Given the way Feed My Inbox generates income, it doesn't make sense to charge webmasters for introducing us to new customers. We have no plans to ever charge webmasters for sending feed updates via email, no matter how many updates or emails are sent.
Generating Your Signup Form
There are two ways to generate your signup form. The first way is to visit this page, enter your feed URL and you will be provided with HTML you can embed on your website.
The second way involves a few more steps, but gives you access to the subscriber count and lets you export your subscriber list at any time. Below is a brief tutorial, which takes less than five minutes if you know your way around basic HTML and FTP.
Adding a Site
If you don't already have a free account, go ahead and create one to access your sites and subscribers.
Add your site
Enter the URL of your feed (not the website URL). You will then be asked to upload a file to your website to confirm ownership of the domain. The file can be empty, but must have the name we give you. Once the file is uploaded, you can confirm the site.
Add the embed code
From the "Your Sites" tab in your account, click "Edit Site" to see the website details and your embed code. Copy and paste it to the location of your choice on your website to begin taking signups.
Track and export subscribers
You can track your subscriber count, view subscribers and export them from your account area at any time.
What About Deliverability?
Our team works very pro-actively with ISPs to monitor email deliverability and deal promptly with any abuse reports. We belong to all of the most prominent feedback loops and whitelists, while also supporting various kinds of sender authentication methods.
Spammers Need Not Apply
The privacy of our customers and deliverability of all Feed My Inbox emails are very important, so we are always watching ISP complaints and opt-outs having to do with your email list.
Our team will always communicate with you about any issues, but we do have the right to stop outgoing emails and request that you use another provider.
Webmaster Questions
Can I send email newsletters with this system?
No. You can only add a feed and have updates from that feed sent to subscribers. For email newsletters we suggest MailChimp or Campaign Monitor.
Can I customize the design of outgoing emails?
Not right now. This is something we're exploring, but want to be extremely careful that any custom-designed email templates look good in all email clients, like the default Feed My Inbox emails do.
Can I import my email list?
Yes, but all email lists are manually reviewed by a member of our team. Each member of your list must have an opt-in date and time, along with a few other details. If members of the list do not meet the criteria, they may be forced to confirm their subscription before getting any other emails from Feed My Inbox. Please contact us to start the process.
